The rainy season called “Tsuyu” comes in early summer. The onset of “Tsuyu” is officially announced by Japan Meteorological Agency every year. “Ajisai” or hydrangea, regarded as a symbol of “Tsuyu,” comes out during the rainy season in a variety of colors including blue, pink, purple and white.
The end of “Tsuyu” means the arrival of scorching summer days.
