“Ise Jingu” is very old Shinto shrine, located in Ise, Mie prefecture, which is considered to be built before more than 2000 years.
Ise Jingu consists of inner shrine “Nai-ku”, outer shrine “Ge-ku” and many other shrines. “Nai-ku” is “Amaterasu-Omikami”. She is a goddess of sun and a major deity of Shinto. An approach to shrine is surrounded by old and deep forest. Visitors are able to feel tranquil and divine atmosphere in walking to this old Japanese architecture.
This is sacred place for Japanese. In visiting “Nai-ku”, please walk quietly.
