Japanese curry is delicious, , filling and one of the easiest Japanese foods to cook. It is usually served with rice and is a very popular dish, especially with children.
Compared to the original curry from India, the Japanese version is only mildly spicy and a tad sweeter. The most common basic ingredients of this dish are: beef, potato, carrot and onion. It is not difficult to find Japanese curry roux in the Asian section of your local supermarket and it is cooked very much like a stew – sauté the vegetables and meat, add some water, bring to a boil, then add the curry roux and cook until it reaches your desired consistency. Finally, serve with rice on a plate.
It is best food for the “fourth meal” for growing child.
