It was established in Edo/Ganroku period, and has been succeeded about 400 years.

All of Kabuki actor are men.?There are many important female roles, and these roles are acted by male actor.?The feature of Kabuki is its make-up.All actors on Kabuki stage are painted their face white.Actor of male role and the villain female role wear Kumadori make-up. “Kumadori” emphasis actor’s expression.?It is very characteristic of Kabuki make-up.In Kumadori, deep red color is representing justice or brave, brown and dark blue are representing evil or monstrosity.
