Trip to Kanazawa City in Ishikawa Prefecture2015.03.27


We all had been waiting for the opening of Hokuriku shinkansen, the Hokuriku Bullet train. Since the opening, March 14th,  many people use it to visit the Hokuriku district(including Inshikawa Prefecture, Toyama Prefecture, and Fukui Prefecture). Usually, the new bullet train has come out, then the areas near the stations tend to be gaining financially. So, what is the benefit for the users? The biggest change is the time to reach Kanazawa city in Ishikawa prefecture. By the bullet train, it takes only about 2hour and half which shortened about 80 mins., comparing with before. Why not visiting Kanazawa in the spring vacations? Here the model plan!

  • Kenrokuen, one of the the three most beautiful gardens in Japan.
  • The Omi market, a place popularly known for not only people who are visiting but also Kanazawa citizens’s food market. Let’s eat fresh sushi!
  • 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Arts where not only children but also adults can enjoy exhibitions and experience-based arts.
  • Try makeing the traditional crafts, such as Gold leaf beam experience, Japanese washi paper experience, and soba noodle making etc. at The traditional hand crafts villege, Yunokuni no Mori.
