“Kagura” means a sacred Shinto music and dance in Japanese, and “Zaka”, or “Saka” does a slope.It is located in Shinjuku-ku Ward of Tokyo.
A tradition has it that people lived there in Edo period (1603-1868) used to catch the sound of the Kagura music from a nearby Shinto shrine.Now, the circumference of Kagra-zaka slope is a good locality to explore.
