I visited Kyoto, northern Arashiyama-area in August. This area is pretty famous for Bamboo grove, I enjoyed the cool atmosphere.
There were many paper lanterns made by sutudents on the street. The Nenbutsu temple in Adashino has the annual festival which called “Sento Kuyo” on August 23 every year. In that temple, there are more than 800 gravestones for the people without any surviving relatives to pray for the peace of their soul.
