“Takeo-no-ookusu” is Japanese nature spot whose name means big camphor tree at “Takeo”. The tree located behind “Takeo Jinja” which is in Saga prefecture and was thought to be built in 735. The perimeter of “Takeo-no-ookusu” is 20 m and the hight is 30 m. The age of it is estimated more than 300 years. The characteristics are gigantic exposed root and broad space with small shrine in the tree!!
Unfortunately, to go into the tree was forbidden now. However, we can see big and impressive figure of “Takeo-no-ookusu”.
