Sashimi is a traditional Japanese method of preparing food. In the foreign countries, it is commonly known as thinly sliced raw fish.

However, this cooking method is not only applied to fish and is often used to prepare meat as well as various other types of produce such as: horse, seaweed, and so on.It is believed that Sashimi is the best way to enjoy the natural flavors of food as long as the produce used is absolutely fresh and of quality. Thus, anything can be called Sashimi if it has been sliced using the proper technique and served with soy sauce and wasabi.
