In Japan, March 3rd is “Hinamatsuri”, the Doll’s Festival day.
We display the dolls such as “Odairisama”, which means ” Emperor” and “Ohinasama”, which means “Empress” on the stepped pedestal.This festival means “pray for the happiness of girl”.We eat a rice crackers called “Hina-arare” and rice cakes called “Hishi-mochi”, and chirashi-zushi.
